ASSISTANT MANAGER - EASTON, MA

We are seeking an energetic individual to fill a critical position at our distribution location in Easton, MA. You must already be, or quickly become, an expert in wood flooring and supplies and the installation challenges our customers face everyday. Well-developed organizational and communication skills will be required to close sales, process orders and coordinate and often assist on deliveries.

Candidates with experience in retail, warehouse, sales, construction or general trades are encouraged to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales & Customer Service

Assist customers while exhibiting comprehensive understanding of our products and industry.
Customer Order entry and invoicing.
Coordinate deliveries to customers’ stores and jobsites.

Warehouse, ProShop & Deliveries

Sales staff and delivery driver will need to work together to perform warehouse duties.
Unloading, staging and loading flooring orders.
Receiving and stocking supply products.
Keeping and maintaining inventory records.
Assisting the store manager in maintaining proper inventory levels.
Assist delivery drivers on job site deliveries when work load demands it.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a similar position required, prior sales role preferred.
Must excel in fast-pace environment, able to multi-task and problem-solve.
Great computer skills with knowledge of current operating systems: will need to quickly learn our industry-specific management software. Strong Excel skills a must.
Interest or experience in Home Design/Décor and/our Building Materials fields.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. (bundles of wood flooring)
Certified to operate a forklift.
Must past drug screening and pass physical for DOT Driving Card

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: Store will be open Monday through Friday 7 AM – 4:30 PM. Additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the business.

COMPENSATION: Full time, negotiable hourly wage - we are looking for a top quality performer!
